NEWPORT NEWS--A naked woman assaulted two women and a child then threatened to jump off the roof of a YMCA Wednesday night.

According to police spokesperson, Lou Thurston, police were called to the YMCA in the 7800 block of Warwick Boulevard for a report of nude woman on the roof.

Upon arriving, officers found a 34-year-old Newport News woman threatening to jump off the roof. A police supervisor went onto the roof and was able to bring the woman down.

Medics transported her to a local hospital for a medical and mental evaluation.

According to Thurston, the female suspect had asked to go into the YMCA and to get a drink of water. She was allowed in and at some point bit a 53-year-old female employee in the face. The employee was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect also assaulted a 39-year-old woman and a 9-year-old girl. The assaults involved unwanted touching, according to Thurston.

Police are not releasing the suspect's name until she is formally charged.
