NEWPORT NEWS -- Hazmat crews bagged a 'suspicious envelope' found at Rep. Bobby Scott's office in Newport News Thursday afternoon and turned it over to law enforcement, according to officials.

Officials said there wasn't a letter in the envelope, which made it suspicious.

After nearly 90 minutes, Newport News Fire spokesperson Chief Jack Carper said it turned out to be a teabag inside the envelope.

Chief Carper said the bomb squad and fire crews responded to Scott's office around 1:15.

Three of the ten floors in the building were evacuated.
