PORTSMOUTH -- Two people were wounded in a late-night shooting in Portsmouth.

Police were called to Bird Lane around 10:20 p.m. after people reported hearing gunfire. Around that same time, a man with a gunshot wound showed up at Bon SecoursMaryview Hospital, said Det. Misty Holley.

Then, at 10:45 p.m., police found a man who'd been shot at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Deep Creek Boulevard. He was taken to the hospital.

Both victims are 23 years old and both are now at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Det. Holley noted.
