SUFFOLK -- An infant was taken to the hospital after being left inside a hot car Wednesday morning.

Emergency personnel responded to the call on North Saratoga Street around 11:30 a.m., according to Diana Klink with the Suffolk Police Department.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 6-month-old boy crying inside an unattended minivan. The child was taken to a nearby hospital to be evaluated.
