HAMPTON -- Crews responded to a two-story house fire in Hampton Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters said smoke was coming from all four sides of the home on Newby Drive when they arrived around 4:30 p.m.

It was first believed a person may have been inside the home, but a neighbor told firefighters the person had left earlier in the day.

It took crews about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.

No injuries were reported.
