NEWPORT NEWS -- Police are searching for two people they say stole a donation jar from an ice cream store in Newport News.

According to police, a man and woman entered the Baskin Robins located at 14371 Warwick Blvd. on June 14 around noon.

The man allegedly grabbed a donation jar containing cash from the counter while the woman distracted people in the store.

Police say the man has a mustache and beard, and was wearing a short-sleeve gray t-shirt and faded blue jeans. The woman was wearing a red summer dress and flip flops.
