UPDATE 1/11/14: Fire investigators determined the fire started in an office.

They say the fire appeared to be electrical and confirm it as accidental in nature.

NEWPORT NEWS- Firefighters were called to an Acura dealership for a fire Friday night.

When units arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the second floor of Hall Acura at 12,501 Jefferson Avenue.

The fire started in a second floor office and quickly spread to the roof. Because of the difficulty at getting to the fire, a second alarm was sounded.

Firefighters had to open the roof to get to the fire.

Traffic near Jefferson and Bland was tied up for hours as firefighters worked to get the fire under control.

The fire was out by about 7:15 p.m.

There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation
