Southwest Airlines is facing a big fine. The Federal Aviation Administration is planning to slap the carrier with a $12 million penalty for allegedly making faulty repairs to its Boeing 737s. Southwest says the issues were addressed years ago.

Delta Airlines is going to start offering free in-flight entertainment on all flights longer than 90 minutes. The service will include movies, t-v shows, music and video games on seat back devices. Programming can also be streamed to personal laptops, phones and tablets. The 'Delta Studio' program is set to begin on Friday, August 1st.
General Motors is going to offer wireless charging of smartphones in some 2015 model year Cadillacs.The technology allows drivers or passengers to charge devices by placing them in a bin behind the center console -- as long as the devices are equipped with wireless charging capability.
T-Mobile is turning up the heat in the wireless carriers battle. The company just announced a new family plan that costs $100 for four lines. That price also included a 2.5 gigabyte allotment for each person and no overage charges.
