NORFOLK-- Old Dominion University's proposed master plan sees the school expanding upward not outward. The plan was discussed during a closed session of the Board of Vistor's executive committee Monday afternoon.

According to Jennifer Mullen-Collins, a spokesperson for the university, the plan calls for taller buildings and no new purchase of land around the school.

The Virginian Pilot reported that the plan also calls for a 30,000 seat stadium to be built.

Mullen-Collins would not confirm that, but did say that the university is getting closer to public presentations of the plan to both the campus and to the community around the university.

She said that representatives from the university would be meeting with Mayor Paul Fraim before the end of the week to discuss the plan.
