Previous story:
VIRGINIA BEACH -- A man robbed a park employee at the entrance to First Landing State Park.

It happened around 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, and the victim believed the robber had a gun, police said.

After getting money, the man ran into the woods and then got into the passenger side of a white SUV.

The suspects are both white, in their 20s, and nearly 6' tall. The robber has short dark hair and was wearing a white crewneck undershirt.

The SUV driver has short, cropped dark hair and had a circular tattoo with writing inside on his upper arm. He was wearing tan shorts, no shirt and a very large, dark colored wristband.

The park manager said following this incident he's looking into current operating procedures at the park to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.

'In the event that these things happen, the safety of the employee is primary, the money is secondary as long as our staff is safe,' the manager said.

He's encouraging people to say something if they see something out of the ordinary at anytime during their park visit.

'We have our own police officers on site and working on patrolling with Virginia Beach PD. We try to patrol the areas and be out and be seen,' he said.

The employee was not harmed during the incident and has returned to work.
