SUFFOLK -- Suffolk voters without a valid photo identification card are able to get one for free before November elections.

The Suffolk Voter Registrar's office said a camera and electronic signature pad are set up at the voter registrar's office, 440 Market St., for those who need photo ID.

A mobile outreach is also set up at Lake Prince Woods, 100 Anna Goode Way, Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Suffolk Registar Susan Saunders 'We are very proud to be part of this,' said Suffolk Registrar Susan Saunders. 'If a voter has questions or concerns we want to be able to address them, our intension is to assist.'

New state requirements, which have tightened the definition of what constitutes acceptable identification to vote, will be in effect for the Nov. 4 election.

Voters can use a valid Virginia driver's license, DMV-issued voter ID card, U.S. passport, other government-issued photo ID, employee photo identification card, or a student photo ID from a Virginia college or university.
