NEWPORT NEWS -- A four-year-old girl met the 911 dispatcher who helped her save her mother's life.

Jailah Driver called 911 when her mother Laquan had a seizure and passed out.

On the other end of the line was dispatcher in training Sarah Sledge. She talked with the youngster while getting rescue personnel to their home.

When emergency crews arrived they were able to instruct the little girl on how to open the door for them.

After crews got inside, the mother was treated by medics and transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Wednesday afternoon, Jailah and her mother met Sledge and others who responded to the emergency situation.

Officials say that if not for the girl's quick thinking and action, her mother would not have received medical attention so quickly.
