CHESAPEAKE -- Fire crews put out a vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Chesapeake Square Mall Sam's Club early Friday afternoon.

According to Captain Saunders of Chesapeake Fire, units responded to the incident around 2:43 p.m. to find heavy fire in the engine block of the vehicle.

Crews has the fire out by 3:16 p.m.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Officials don't know if the car belonged to a shopper, or if it was someone who was driving down the road when their car caught fire.
