PORTSMOUTH -- Portsmouth Police are trying to find the man who abducted a 15-year-old girl Wednesday night.

The teen told investigators she was walking in the area of Columbus Avenue and Lincoln Street around 7:30 p.m. when a man called to her from his car and told her to come to him.

She refused, so he got out of his car and forced her inside thendrove to the 1100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, police said. That's when the victim began to struggle with the man. She was able to fight him off and get away.

The man, described as black, in his thirties and wearing all dark clothing, was driving a four-door red vehicle with tinted rear windows and tan seats.

Anyone who can help find the man or the car should call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
