NORFOLK - Ground will be broken Monday on the newest development in Norfolk that will be home to Fresh Market and other businesses.

The $15.5 million Ghent Station will bring 130 new jobs and services to the area, city official says.

The old Norfolk Senior Center at 21st Street and Colley Avenue was demolished so the new complex could take shape.

Work on the 22,500 square foot Fresh Market has already begun and is expected to open by Thanksgiving.

Bon Secours will also have a state of the art, multi-use medical facility which will include physical therapy and sports medicine, Urgent Care and a Surgical Weight Loss Center/Metabolic Center.

The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at 930 W. 21st Street.
