NORFOLK -- Young Audiences Arts for Learning Virginia will present 'The Arts Are Wild,' a literacy celebration through the arts.

It's this Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Zoo on Granby Street in Norfolk and 13News Now Anchor Sandra Parker and YAV Executive Director Michael Kerry Williams will emcee the event.

'The Arts Are Wild is an opportunity for children of all ages to experience the power of arts in education up close,' says Williams. 'This is a wonderful way to celebrate reading and writing and we are excited to partner with the Virginia Zoo after the success of last year's event.'

Activities will include: musical performances by YAV artists, musical petting zoo, story boarding, comic book art, poetry and more.
