Concerts, paddleboarding demonstrations, jet pack demonstrations, demonstrations by the Coastal Riverine Force, food and more will keep festival goers busy and fill the waterfront with fun and excitement through Sunday. A highlight of the three-day festival is Saturday night's fireworks, which begin at 9:30 p.m.

Festevents, which organizer the festival, says 250,000 people will attend Harborfest this year, pumping $10 million into the economy.

Joseph Wright of Juice Bar Juices has his grand opening in downtown Norfolk on Friday.

'We expect a huge turnout, a lot of new fans for our business,' said Wright.

Because Harborfest is free organizers say the city loses money, but according to Festevents Manager Domenick Fini they make it up over the course of the summer.

During the festival, many of the roads into and out of downtown will be closed. Click here for transportation, directions and parking options.

On the other side of the Elizabeth River, enjoy music and more at the Portsmouth Seawall Music Festival Friday and Saturday on the waterfront.Click here and scroll down to June 6 & 7 for the list of concerts.
