NORFOLK -- The first of three eggs hatched Sunday at the bald eagle nest at Norfolk Botanical Garden.

A hole in the first egg could be seen at 8:21 a.m. according to Reese Lukei, wildlife researcher at the Center for Conservation Biology at theCollege of William andMary.

Lukei said the egg hatched about 11:15 a.m.

The chick got its first meal just before 3:00 p.m.
