WOODBRIDGE, VA -- Family and friends of Christopher Cummings are hosting a weekend long car wash and bake sale to raise money for the slain ODU student's memorial fund.

The 20 year-old student was murdered in his off-campus on June 10. Police have made no arrests in the case.

The family hopes the fundraiser will raise awareness about Cummings' death and encourage anyone with information to come forward. Donations will help to support the Christopher Cummings Scholarship Fund and to offer a reward for information leading to the capture and conviction of the person or persons responsible forhis death, according to the family.

The car wash and bake sale will be Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31 from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. The fundraiser is at Reo's Tattoos & Piercings on Tripoli Blvd in Dumfries, Virginia.
