Audience member Jamie asks Dr. Oz about the advantages of a vegan diet.

Dr. Oz points out that vegans are generally thinner on average in all countries than folks who eat meat.

Dr. Oz also notes that vegans tend to avoid saturated fats and processed foods in the vegan products they eat.

Dr. Oz further purports that some people who eat meat feel heavy and slowed down when they do. Dr. Oz suggests that if some people feel sluggish, to try cutting out the meat and milk in their diets.
Moreover, Dr. Oz suggests there is a compelling health argument to following a vegan diet, in that vegetarians generally live longer than their meat-eating counterparts, but that one should be very careful when choosing to follow any 'all or nothing' diet direction.
