HAMPTON -- If you're a dog lover, the Hampton Roads Convention Center is where you want to be on Friday through Monday.

More than 1,500 canines will compete for Best in Show at The Virginia Memorial Day Cluster All-Breed Dog Show, which is hosted by Langley and Gloucester Kennel Clubs.

Highlights include obedience trials, a Junior Showmanship clinic on Saturday and vendors offering pet merchandise unique to the Hampton Roads region.

The show will host an AKC Rally ,a special obedience trial segment and AKC's fastest growing sport each day.

On Saturday and Sunday, special guided tours of The Virginia Memorial Day Cluster All-Breed Dog Show are scheduled.

Club representatives will be on site to provide information and breeder referral information for those interested in learning more about a specific breed. No dogs will be sold.

Admission is $5 for adults, free for active duty military free, $3 for ages 3-16 and 2 and under get in free.

The ConventionCenter is at 1610 Coliseum Drive, next to the Hampton Coliseum.
