NORFOLK-- Charges were withdrawn Friday against a man charged with killing a Norfolk barber shop owner.

There was 'insufficient evidence at this time to proceed' with the case against 29-year-old Dahson Danta Iraldo, said Commonwealths' Attorney spokeswoman Amanda Howie.

Iraldo was charged in July with the April 17, 2010 robbery and shooting of Henry McIntosh at his Square Deal Barber Shop on Church Street. McIntosh died the next day.

In a jailhouse interview with 13News, Iraldo said police had the wrong man, that he didn't know McIntosh and wasn't anywhere near the barber shop when the murder occurred.

Howie said the murder charge could be reinstated if more evidence comes to light. In the meantime, Iraldo remains in jail on a charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. His trial on that charge is set for Nov. 13.
