JAMES CITY COUNTY-There have been 151 rear-end collisions in James City County so far this year, most along two busy roadways.

Now, the police department will spend the next two months trying to keep that number from getting much higher.

Most of the rear-enders have happened along Monticello Avenue corridor and on Longhill Road. Authorities say drivers are not paying attention or following too close behind the car in front of them.

For all of last year, police in James City County responded to 213 rear-end accidents.
