WILMINGTON, N.C. - A man was flown from a tug boat off North Carolina to a Norfolk hospital late Thursday.

The Coast Guard says the 30-year-old was having chest pains while on the boat approximately 10 miles southeast of Hatteras Inlet.

Station Hatteras Inlet launched a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew to the 94-foot tug Gulf Coast, got the crewmember and brought him to shore.

The man was reported to be in stable condition, officials added.
