UPDATE 9/2: Trainer Becky Mizzer says Spice was found Tuesday near Waller Mill Resevoir. She was apparently tangled in something and seems to be in good condition.

'We're happy to have our family member back and are looking forward to continuing our training to get her certified. Thank you to everyone involved in the search effort,' Mizzer told 13News Now.

YORK COUNTY -- Crews spent much of Sunday searching the Waller Miller area, hoping to find Spice a K9 with Tidewater Search and Rescue. The non-profit groupprovides specially trained professional volunteers to find lost or missing people in wilderness, rural, and disaster environments.

Spice went missing around 10:30 a.m. while working a trail near Kmart, located at 118 Waller Mill Road. She had her harness and 30-foot lead attached to her at the time.

Tidewater Search and Rescue contacted dispatchers in York County to let them know she was missing.
