CHESAPEAKE--Two people have been arrested following a domestic dispute that led a Chesapeake school to be placed on lockdown Thursday morning, according to authorities.

Police responded to the 2700 block of Broad Street around 9 a.m. after a caller reported an armed woman was inside a home holding a family member and one other hostage.

According to police, nearby G. W. Carver Intermediate school was placed on lock-down for about 20 minutes until the situation 'de-escalated' and the woman was taken into custody.

LaFrance Moye-Nesbit, 42, was charged with abduction, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and simple assault.

Moye-Nesbit's husband, 46-year-old Phillip Nesbit, was charged with obstruction of justice for allegedly being disorderly with officers during their investigation.

Police said the third party involved was interviewed and released from the scene. There were no injuries.
