UPDATE 4:30 p.m.: The 900-1100 block of South Street and the 1000 block of Horn Street remain closed. All other streets are now open.
Friday morning's heavy rain caused a lot of flooding in Portsmouth. By mid-morning, these streets had problems, according to Portsmouth Police spokeswoman Det. Misty Holley.

*Washington St between High St and London St (last check the street was impassable due to flooding)
*McLean St (behind TCC) flooded
*Areas of Gust Lane Flooded
*Claremont Drive flooded
* I264W off and on Ramps flooded at Victory Blvd. Parts of Victory Blvd are also flooded
*County Street near Effingham St flooded
*Parts of High Street in Olde Towne Flooded
*Effingham St @ London Blvd (heading toward Portsmouth Naval Hospital) experiencing flooding
*Flooding on Effingham St near Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, traffic exiting the Naval Medial Center was rerouted to the rear of the base onto Parkview Ave.
* Frederick Blvd at Deep Creek is closed due to flooding heading toward I264 and Bayside Harley Dealership
*Frederick Blvd @ Airline Blvd experiencing flooding

**Moderate/heavy ponding on roadways and neighborhood streets throughout Portsmouth. Numerous disable vehicles reported due to high water and several accidents reported.
