NORFOLK-- Police and an Auto Fatality Team were investigating a motorcycle-vehicle crash Friday.

It happened around 9:25 p.m. in the 2900 block of Lafayette Boulevard.

According to a news release, the victim was riding a motorcycle westbound in the 2900 block of Lafayette Boulevard approaching Marne Avenue. Another man driving a Honda Accord was traveling eastbound in the 2900 block of Lafayette Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn onto Marne Avenue, striking the driver/operator of the Motorcycle.

Police say a male victim has been taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. As of Saturday morning, the victim remains in critical condition.

The driver of the Honda, who wasn't injured, was cited for Failure to Yield and Driving on a Revoked License.
