VIRGINIA BEACH - A masked ball with a Mardi Gras and 'Phantom of the Opera' theme will be the focus of this year's fundraiser for Symphonicity.

Symphonicity, formerly known as the Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra, provides performance experience for area musicians while presenting low cost, quality concerts to the Hampton Roads community.

The Symphonicity League is putting on the ball that will have a French-inspired dinner, silent auction, dancing, and musical entertainment. Masks are required!

Tickets are $100 per person, some of which is tax deductible, officials said. You can order them by phone at 428-1923 or go to the Symphonicity website.

The ball is February 9 from 7:00 p.m. to Midnight at at the Princess Anne Country Club.
