UPDATE 4/2/14: The United States Marshal's Office says Monte Robinson was captured in Columbus, Georgia on Wednesday.

The Suffolk Police Department and USMS Fugitive Taskforce in Norfolk have been working together since the homicide in last March to locate Robinson.

SUFFOLK -- Police have identified a suspect wanted in connection to an early morning homicide near a Suffolk apartment complex Sunday.

Police say 20-year-old Monte Robinson, of the 900 block of Davis Boulevard in Suffolk, is charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and reckless handling of a firearm.

Officers were called to Cogic Square Apartments on Stacey Drive around 2:53 a.m. and discovered 24-year-old Angelo Fleming Beale suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

Beale was transported to Sentara Obici Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Earlier in the morning, officers got a call about a person carrying a gun in the area of the same apartment complex near White Marsh Road.

Robinson is described as a black male, 6 foot two inches tall and weighs 175 pounds.
