WILLIAMSBURG-- President Obama surprised campaign volunteers in Williamsburg Monday with an armful of pizzas.

One volunteer said the half-hour visit to the campaign office was rejuvenating.

Steve Griesinger had spent most of the day canvassing neighborhoods for the campaign.

Griesinger said when he arrived at the office, there were Secret Service agents everywhere.

When the president got ready to leave he came over and greeted a group of campaign workers lined up outside the building.

Griesinger says President Obama gave all the women big hugs and thanked many of the volunteers.

'Things were going to build regardless. But this didn't hurt, not at all,' Griesinger said.

The president is in Williamsburg preparing for tomorrow night's presidential debate with challenger Mitt Romney.
