NORFOLK - Police say a drunk driver crashed into a power pole in Norfolk, forcing part of Hampton Blvd. to be shut down.

The crash, which occurred around 2:30 a.m., broke the pole, causing about three dozen customers to be without power.

Northbound Hampton Blvd. was closed at 24th Street and southbound lanes were closed at 38th Street reopened just before the morning rush hour.

Norfolk Police spokesman Officer Chris Amos says the driver wasn't hurt.
