UPDATE3/26:A judge delayed sentencing Wednesday for Patience Perez.

She is required to continue counseling, she can't have any contact with the victim and she must submit to random drug screenings and counseling.

Perez pleaded guilty to one count of having sexual relations with a juvenile.

Perez said in court, 'I understand the seriousness of what I've done. This felony conviction will follow me for the rest of my life. I'm very sorry for what I've done.'

Perez will return to Virginia Beach for sentencing on March 25, 2015.

VIRGINIA BEACH-- A former Virginia Beach Public Schools employee was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.

Patience Justine Perez is charged with one count of indecent liberties by a custodian. Police say she had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student who attended Renaissance Academy, the same school where she worked.

Police said the consensual, sexual relationship between Perez and the student took place away from Renaissance Academy.

Perez is also charged in Norfolk in connection with a murder-for-hire scheme involving the student, police said. Court records show the former security assistant and the teen allegedly conspired to kill her husband.

Norfolk Police spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson told in March, 'On various occasions during February, Patience Justine Perez brought the teen to her home on O'Conner Crescent in Norfolk, where sexual abuse ensued. Ms. Perez and the minor victim use mobile phones to exchange pornographic images. Ms. Perez and the minor victim engage in conversation/plan to murder Ms. Perez' husband.'

Parker-Chesson said detectives continue to investigate and at this time have not charged the teen in the murder-for-hire scheme.
