VIRGINIA BEACH -- Dozens of residents marched through the Lake Edward community of Virginia Beach early Thursday evening to send a message of reclaiming their neighborhood from crime.

Residents teamed up with the Virginia Beach Police Department to try and restore peace to their once quiet community.

There have been three murders in the neighborhood in recent weeks, but organizers say the march had been planned several weeks prior to those incidents.
