VIRGINIA BEACH -- More than 2,000 customers were without power in Virginia Beach Friday morning.

Power was knocked out after a dead tree limb fell on a power line at Little Neck and Kings Grant Road around 5:15 a.m., according to Bonita Harris with Dominion Power.

Most customers were restored within in about an hour, but seven customers were still in the dark as of 7 a.m.

Those customers will remain without power until crews can deenergize the line and remove the tree, Harris said.
