JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - A woman injured by a tornado at a Northampton Co. campground that killed three of her relatives is back in New Jersey.
A tearful Jelyn Ortega says so many people have helped her.
The 21-year-old suffered a broken pelvis, broken shoulder and spine injuries when a tree crashed on a tent where her family was staying at the Cherrystone Family Camping and RV Resort along Virginia's Eastern Shore on July 24.
Her aunt, the aunt's husband and a 13-year-old cousin were killed. More than three dozen others were injured in the twister.
The Jersey Journal reports Ortega, who came to the United States from the Philippines five months ago, remembers little about what happened.
She will not have to pay for the ambulance that brought her back to Jersey City or her rehabilitation.
