YORKTOWN -- Police say they've arrested the man who robbed a credit union in Yorktown last weekend.

38-year-old Dorman Ronald Shaw, a soldier at Fort Eustis, is accused of robbing the Langley Federal Credit Union branch on George Washington Highway.

York-Poquoson authorities say they got him after a teller saw him twice go into a credit union in Newport News on Tuesday and then quickly leave.

A detective happened to be in the area and saw Shaw acting suspiciously outside a nearby business, according to authorities, and she watched him go into the credit union the second time.

He left and started running and the detective caught him, York Co. officials state.

Shaw reportedly had a gun holstered on his side and handed a note to the teller demanding money during Saturday's robbery.

He's charged with robbery and use of a firearm
