GLOUCESTER CO.-- Twelve people were arrested Thursday in Gloucester Co. following a narcotics investigation dubbed 'Operation Pressure Cooker.'

Officials say the investigation concerned the alleged sale of synthetic narcotics such as spice and bath salts.

Gloucester Sheriff Darrell Warren says arrest teams are, 'Closing in on a 13th suspect.'

Warren said two businesses were involved: 'Hazy Dayz' located at 3536 G.W.M.H. in Hayes and 'A Lil of This N That' located at 7558 John Clayton Memorial Highway in Gloucester.

Nearly 50 officers participated in this morning's bust, including members of the Tri-Rivers Drug Task Force comprised of Narcotics Investigators from the Sheriff's Offices of Gloucester, York-Poquoson, Mathews, and Middlesex, the Police Departments of James City County and Poquoson, and the Virginia State Police.

All suspects are in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where they are being held pending appearances in court.
