VIRGINA BEACH Police have outlined the list of violent crimes Saturday and Sunday morning at the Oceanfront. Here is a list from officers.
11:23 p.m. 2000 block of Atlantic officers responded to shots fired, male victim was struck leg/hip area by one of the bullets. Non-life threatening, unknown suspects; victim uncooperative with investigators.
11:23 p.m. male victim alleged he was robbed at 21st & Pacific by the McDonalds. Victim approached by several suspects, victim displayed a firearm which fell to ground and broke apart. Suspect assaulted victim and picked up pieces of firearm. This was classified as a Simple Assault & Larceny; NOT A ROBBERY
11:57 p.m. 17th & Atlantic victim walking near DQ, suspects approached and male victim stabbed in back & neck area. Unprovoked incident according to victim, unknown suspects, non-life threatening.
12:25 a.m. 2600 block of Atlantic victim & suspect engaged in verbal argument, male victim struck in face and initially believed he was stabbed in face. He was struck by suspect and received a laceration; case is classified as Simple Assault
1:26 a.m. 2500 block of Atlantic verbal argument between male victim and suspects reference a female; male victim cut to arm and female hit with a bottle. Call came out as a stabbing and appears injuries are from a thrown bottle.
2:15 a.m. 300 block of 17th Street victim was robbed of his phone no injuries
2:56 a.m. robbery in the 3100 block of Atlantic Avenue; I have no details on this right now; updates on Monday
2:58 a.m. 300 block of 33rd Street, male victim sitting in vehicle, heard a loud noise, observed his window shattered and realized he had been shot in the chest. Unknown suspects, non-life threatening.
3:05 a.m. 22nd & Atlantic victim was sitting in his vehicle, had just parked, when armed suspects got into this vehicle, demanded property. Victim was not injured.
3:13 a.m. 27th & Atlantic victim and suspect engaged in verbal argument, suspect struck victim in face with gun, weapon discharged striking victim in face. Unknown suspects, non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation in all cases are on-going and there is no further details at this time. Updates will possibly be available Monday. In all cases, victim gave limited details (description of suspects) so investigators at this time has little to go on.
