NEWPORT NEWS--A teen was shot Wednesday evening according to police.

It happened in the no hundred block of Adams Drive around 7:19 p.m.

When police arrived, they found a 17 yr old male with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was taken to the hospital with an injury that was not lifethreatening.

The victim told police that two black males approached him, had a a conversation with him, then shot him.

Both suspects were wearing dark clothing. One had an afro and the other had a hat on.

Police say they are investigating a motive.
