GRAFTON -- Police say a manager at a Hardee's restaurant in York County faked an armed robbery last month.

She now faces charges of filing a false police report and embezzlement.

According to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Pamela Solomon, assistant manager of the Hardee's in the 5400 block of Rt. 17, said she was robbed at gunpoint outside the restaurant on the morning of Sept. 13.

Ms. Solomon claimed that two armed robbers wearing masks forced her to open the restaurant safe and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators say they later determined that the robbery never took place.

Solomon was arrested Monday at her home on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News.
