ACCOMACK CO-- Police investigators are looking into the 20th arson that happened early Saturday morning on the Eastern Shore.

Around 2:30 a.m., a chicken coop went up in flames near Withams Road in Oak Hill.

No one was injured in this overnight fire.

The Accomack County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police say this past Thursday two abandoned buildings were ablaze. Investigators say it's not uncommon for multiple fires to be set in one night.

Most of the crimes are committed overnight. The fires have destroyed vacant homes and properties since Nov. 13. So far no one has been injured in any of the previous incidents.

Investigators are asking for help from the public to identify the serial arsonist(s).

A reward of $5,000 is being offered by the Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators for an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information about the fires or who recalls seeing any vehicles or individual(s) near the destroyed structures is encouraged to call the Virginia State Police Chesapeake Headquarters toll-free at 1-800-582-8350 or at (757) 424-6820; or contact the Accomack County Sheriff's Office at (757) 787-1131.
