NORFOLK-A Norfolk school bus with 15 students aboard and a car collided Wednesday morning.
The bus was headed to Crossroads Elementary School when the accident occurred around 7:45 a.m., said Norfolk Public Schools spokeswoman Karen Tanner.
The accident occurred on Pythian and Newell avenues.
The bus was stopped with its lights engaged when it was rear ended, police spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson told WVEC.com.
'The driver of the vehicle stated foot slipped off brake and hit accelerator,' Parker-Chesson added.
On the WVEC13 Facebook page, Deena Clayton posted a photos and said, 'My children were not aboard yet. I was wondering why the bus was late then the sub bus came.'
13News Now photos show very little damage to the bus and a buckled hood of the car.
Authorities stress no one was hurt.
