UPDATE 4/8: PETA said Tuesday they won't be buying the childhood home of Jeffrey Dahmer to turn it into a vegan restaurant.
'Getting zoning for a restaurant on this site is apparently impossible, in part because of issues with the plumbing and waste systems,' PETA wrote in a press release.
NORFOLK -- PETA says it wants to buy the childhood home of Jeffrey Dahmer and turn it into a vegan restaurant.
The home was recently put back on the market. The asking price is $295,000.

The organization sent a letter of inquiry to the real estate agent handling the property to express their interest.
'Murderous actions such as Dahmer's from binding victims' limbs, drugging and dismembering them, refrigerating parts of their bodies, and eating them are still carried out on other living beings who happen not to be human and that one way to turn evil into good would be to convert the home into a vegan restaurant if a zoning variance can be had,' they wrote in a press release.
PETA said it would name the restaurant 'Eat for Life: Home Cooking.'
