PORTSMOUTH -- Firefighters battled flames at a vacant warehouse in Portsmouth Tuesday night.

Fire crews received the call of a fire in the middle of a rail yard at the intersection of County Street and Constitution Avenue around 7:15 p.m., according to Deputy Chief Mike Stockton with the Portsmouth Fire Department.

The building is deteriorating and has no electricity in it, Stockton said.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
