PORTSMOUTH-- A man on a pleasure boat is rescued by the Coast Guard Saturday morning after his family reports him missing.

Crews from the Elizabeth City, N.C. station began searching for the 48-year-old man on the Pungo River near Swan Quarter, N.C.

The man's family contacted the Coast Guard shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday morning when he did not return home from a boat trip on Friday night.

The man and his boat were found around 6 a.m. He was treated for a laceration and a leg injury.
