CHESAPEAKE -- A man in a truck pointed a gun at another driver Tuesday morning in Chesapeake, police said.
42-year-old Richard Maund of Virginia Beach was arrested just before 8 a.m.
Police say he was in a white pick-up truck in the area of Moses Grandy Trail and Shipyard Road when he pointed a handgun at a man in an SUV.
'The early indication is they had words with each other at the stop light and then he displayed the gun,' O'Sullivan told WVEC.com.
He was stopped about a mile and a half away and arrested, said Officer Kelly O'Sullivan.
Jeanne McMaster Wilson talked about what she saw in a post on the WVEC13 Facebook page.
'Got stuck at the train & there were 4 Chesapeake police cars parked in the road & several officers near the tracks with the biggest guns Ive ever seen, I assume some sort of assault rifle. I managed to see several vehicles behind me a white pick up being pulled over by a white unmarked police pick up,' she wrote.
Maund is charged with brandishing a firearm.
They have not released the name of the other driver, but O'Sullivan told WVEC.com it doesn't appear the two know each other.
No one was hurt.
