NORFOLK -- Investigators are looking into what caused a Norfolk duplex fire Monday morning.

Officials said smoke could be seen coming from the attic of the home in the 9200 block of Atwood Avenue.

Officials said the fire seemed to be concentrated in the kitchen.

One apartment sustained fire and smoke damage and is uninhabitable.

The apartment did have smoke alarms, but they were not working at the time of the fire, officials said.

No one was home at the time of the fire. No one was injured.
