The 21st annual American Music Festival, presented by Chevrolet is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It features four major headline bands on the 5th Street Main Stage: Train, Hunter Hayes, Creedence Clearwater Revisited and Blues Traveler. But it's all music, all the time at the Oceanfront.

VIRGINIA BEACH - Also at the Oceanfront is the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon
The annual event features the Health and Fitness Expo at the Convention Center on 19th Street; the half marathon with live rock bands every mile along the course and more.

NORFOLK -- Virginia Zoo Watermelon Challenge-Keepers vs. Elephants.
Who can eat the most watermelons in five minutes. Watch them chow down at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 30, at the Virginia Zoo, 3500 Granby St.
