SUFFOLK -- Two people have been arrested after allegedly robbing a Suffolk store clerk at gunpoint.

Police say 36-year-old Anthony Deshawn Langston walked into the Bed, Bath & Beyond located in the 6200 block of College Drive around 2 p.m. on Friday, lifted up his shirt to show he had a handgun tucked in his waistband and left the store with stolen items.

Police say Deshawn re-entered the store a second time also displaying a firearm, then was in the parking lot in a vehicle for a period of time before he entered the nearby Walmart.

Police arrested Deshawn at Walmart and say he also had concealed merchandise from that store in his possession.

Deshawn is charged with robbery, larceny or theft, use or display firearm in commission of felony, possess, transport firearm by convicted felon, and accessory before the fact.

Police also arrested 31-year-old Cindy Ford Lassiter, who was located in the vehicle and allegedly had knowledge of the incidents before they were committed.

Lassiter was also charged with robbery, use of firearm in commission of felony, conspiracy to commit felony, and 3rd offense petit larceny.

Police believe the two had also committed larceny at Harris Teeter at Harbor Towne Parkway.
